Traceify can recognise a person across servers, so a global ban is a serious thing. This page says exactly how one is made, what stops it being abused, and how many have been made. The numbers are read live from the database.
The numbers

Cases are deleted two years after they were sent, with the verification records, so these totals cover the cases still on record.
Safeguards
Bans stay in the server that made them
A ban in one server never affects another. The only ban that crosses servers is a global ban, and it exists only after Traceify staff approve a case.
A server must send proof
A server sends a case with written proof for a member it already banned. There is a limit on how many cases one server can send, and a server whose cases keep getting denied is paused.
A person decides, and writes why
No case is approved automatically. Staff see the proof, how the member's accounts link and how many other accounts an approval would catch. A denial needs a written reason, and the server that sent the case receives it by DM.
Servers choose whether to act on it
Global bans are off by default. A server owner turns them on in the dashboard and picks flag (hold the member for a moderator) or ban.
You are told, and you can appeal
When a global ban holds or bans a member, the bot sends that member a DM with the case number and a link to appeal. Anyone can appeal on this site after signing in with Discord. An accepted appeal revokes the case everywhere.
Global bans expire
An approved case counts for 365 days after approval, then stops. It is never permanent.
Every decision has a name on it
Each decision, revocation and appeal outcome records which staff account made it and when, and opening a case in the review tool is logged.
What staff cannot see
Review staff never see an email address, an IP address or a device fingerprint. Matching uses keyed one-way tokens, and other accounts that match appear only as short token prefixes.
One limit to know about: decisions are made by Traceify staff, not by an independent panel. That is why every decision is logged with a name, why denials carry a reason, and why anyone can appeal and see this page.
Recent decisions
The newest 25. It lists the case number, the day, the result and how long it took, and nothing about the server or the member.

If a global ban names you
Sign in with Discord and appeal. You see the cases that name your account, write what happened, and Traceify staff answer with a reason. If the appeal is accepted the case is revoked and stops applying in every server. You can also ask for your data under the privacy policy.
